German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois, hand-picked from proven bloodlines, raised in our family home and personally trained by Rory Larsen.
Link K9 is a premier provider of professionally trained protection dogs in the UK, based in Formby, Merseyside, just a stone’s throw from Liverpool. We raise and train a limited number of dogs at any given time, putting each through an extensive training programme unlike elsewhere in the UK.
A family-run business established by Rory Larsen back in 2002. Every dog is carefully selected from proven bloodlines and reared from puppyhood in a loving family environment, so the protector you take home is also a loving family pet that integrates seamlessly into family life.
Whether you’re looking for a fully trained dog or want your own dog assessed, we’ll help you find the right path.
Fully trained German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois, ready to protect and to fit into family life.
Elite 1-to-1 programmes for obedience and controlled protection.
Unsure of your dog’s loyalty or temperament? We’ll assess and advise.
Costs, handover and living with a protection dog.
Every dog follows the same journey, so we know its background, temperament and training inside out.
Puppies are hand-selected from known working lines chosen for temperament and drive.
Raised in our home around children, so they’re calm, social and safe with the whole family.
Personal 1-to-1 obedience and protection work in real-life scenarios with Rory.
Visit during training, learn the commands and take home a dog that already knows you.
Founder & head trainer
Rory founded Link K9 in 2002 and spends more time with animals than people. We hand-pick all of our protection dogs as puppies and rear them at our home, so that we can develop obedient, loyal and loving family pets. When you call, it’s Rory you’ll speak to.

We love what we do here at Link K9. Take a look at our video to see our training in action, as our family pet Thor runs through some drills with Rory.
Our rigorous protection training ensures these dogs provide the highest standard of protection for you and your family, against intruders at home and any risks you may encounter while out with your family pet.
